Im planning on writing about it more! Thanks for the encouragement. And yeah, a rotation of meals makes alot of sense on different levels. I’d love to hear what meals you cook regularly— do you set them to certain days or are more flexible about it?
One of my kids has a limited menu of foods he will eat, even after working through the common advice for diversifying kid's diets. There is so much judgment over having a child who doesn't eat (or sleep) and parenting.
It ends up being fine to let him eat the same things. It means he tries new foods more regularly than he did, and they are not things I would ever have suggested. He tried salmon sashimi this week because he saw it on YouTube. Even without new foods, it takes almost no effort to steam broccoli or peas every night to make sure he has a vegetable he can eat.
Very happy the edit cal / write ahead idea resonated! It helps a lot to maintain momentum.
It’s helping me think about the newsletter as an editor more, which I’m enjoying. And making space for other work/projects which I really needed
Would love to hear more about meals you rotate through -- i'm also learning that's what I need to do groceries etc sustainably

I have no system at the moment and am trying to build one 🙏🏼
i never even thought about having a local wine subscription! i did some digging and found a cool one near where i live - thank you for the idea!
So welcome! It’s been a lot of fun. Would love to hear about how you like it if you sign up
I always find it confusing when you suggest a dinner option and people say "actually, I just had Mexican/Thai/whatever the other day, so...."
So... you can't eat the same cuisine twice in one week?
Silly.
Right!! That way of thinking confuses me too, I grew up eating a lot of the same meals
